[K-1 REVENGE 2026] Legendary Event Returns After 27 Years! Kacper Muszynski Confirmed for May 31

The K-1 Executive Committee has announced that Kacper Muszynski (Poland / Armia Polkowice), known as the “The Last Ronin,” will compete at “K-1 REVENGE”, scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Muszynski made a strong impact in March 2024 at the opening round of the K-1 WORLD MAX 2024 Tournament, scoring a knockdown victory over Stoyan Koprivlenski. He followed that performance with a win over Zhora Akopyan in the quarterfinals, but was forced to withdraw from the semifinals due to injury.

In the 2025 tournament, Muszynski suffered a narrow decision loss to Ouyang Feng in the first round. Most recently, in February 2026, he moved up to the middleweight division and faced Dengue Silva. Despite scoring a knockdown with a body shot, Muszynski was ultimately defeated by a come-from-behind knockout.
Once considered a top contender, Muszynski now enters this bout after two consecutive losses, making this fight a crucial restart in his career.

“K-1 REVENGE” was originally introduced during the early days of K-1, first held on September 18, 1994, at Yokohama Arena. The event was built around the theme of “revenge,” with the late Andy Hug as its central figure.
Earlier that year, Hug made his K-1 debut in the K-1 Grand Prix one-day tournament but suffered a shocking first-round knockout loss to Patrick Smith. Determined to rise from defeat, Hug returned in “K-1 REVENGE” and avenged his loss with a spectacular knockout victory, marking his comeback.

The event was subsequently held several times in 1995, 1996, and 1999 before fading away alongside K-1’s evolving global strategy.
Now, “K-1 REVENGE” returns as the perfect stage for fighters seeking redemption. While Muszynski is currently the only confirmed participant, several high-profile revenge matchups are expected to be announced.
The event will take place at Korakuen Hall, widely regarded as the sacred venue of combat sports, where the intensity and passion of revenge-fueled battles will ignite the arena.

Kacper Muszynski’s Comment
“I’m really happy to be given the opportunity to return to the K-1 ring so quickly and fight for redemption. Thanks to the fans and all the opportunities I’ve been given, I truly feel that this is the one and only home for my career.
This will definitely be a fight worth watching, so don’t miss it.
Thank you for your support, and I’ll see you in the ring!”
