[K-1 WORLD MAX 2026] Matchups Announced for K-1 WORLD MAX 2026 Romania Qualifier Tournament

March 4, 2026
On Friday, April 3 (local time), the [K-1 WORLD MAX 2026 -70kg World Tournament Romania Qualifier] will take place at “K-1 WORLD MAX 2026 in Bucharest – Romania Round”, held in Bucharest, Romania.
The qualifier will feature an eight-man one-day tournament, with the winner earning a place in the FINAL16 of K-1 WORLD MAX 2026, scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 12 at Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
The fighters competing in the Romania qualifier are Calin Petrisor (Romania), Serhiy Adamchuk (Ukraine), Andrei Varga (Romania), Yildirim Oguz (Turkey), Albert Enache (Romania), Marek Pelcis (Latvia), Stefan Vranceanu (Romania), and Vitalie Matei (Moldova).
One of the fighters to watch is former GLORY Featherweight (-65kg) Champion and ISKA European K-1 Rules Super Welterweight (-70kg) Champion Serhiy Adamchuk.
Adamchuk first competed in K-1 in 2015, defeating Kazuya Akimoto by decision in the [K-1 WORLD GP Super Welterweight Championship Tournament Reserve Fight]. Since then, he has mainly competed in GLORY, where he scored a TKO victory over Abraham Vidales in 2019. In December 2022, he faced Kento Haraguchi, taking the fight to a decision. Now returning to K-1 after 11 years, Adamchuk will attempt to secure a place in the highly competitive 70kg FINAL16.
Another strong contender is 27-year-old Calin Petrisor, widely regarded as one of Romania’s top fighters. Petrisor holds the ISKA World Oriental Rules Super Welterweight (-70kg) title and the ISKA European K-1 Rules Super Welterweight (-70kg) title, and has a professional record of 41 wins (17 KOs) and 12 losses. In February 2024, he faced Kacper Muszynski, losing by decision. In his most recent bout in December last year, he defeated Vitalie Matei, who will also compete in this qualifier tournament.
Will the tournament come down to a showdown between Adamchuk and Petrisor, or will a dark horse emerge to claim the FINAL16 spot? The Romania qualifier promises intense action until the very end.
