[K-1 GENKI 2026] Mona Kimura vs. Eun Ji Choi Headlines K-1 GENKI 2026; Lukas Achterberg Confirmed for April 11

The K-1 Executive Committee has officially announced multiple bouts for K-1 GENKI 2026, scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Yoyogi National Gymnasium Second Gymnasium in Tokyo.
The event will be headlined by a key women’s flyweight international clash, with the participation of Lukas Achterberg also confirmed. Additional bouts have now been finalized.

Undefeated prospect Mona Kimura (3-0, 2 KO) takes on MAX FC Women’s Bantamweight (-52kg) Champion Eun Ji Choi (19 fights, 8 wins).
Kimura, who represented Japan at the 2022 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships and holds multiple national boxing titles, continues her rapid rise in K-1 competition.
Choi brings championship experience and international pedigree from Korea’s leading promotion MAX FC.
This Japan vs. Korea matchup is expected to play a pivotal role in the development of the K-1 women’s flyweight division.
K-1 Cruiserweight (3×3 min, Ext. 1R)
Lukas Achterberg (Germany / Team CSK / Sparta Aachen) vs. TBA

Lukas Achterberg (19 fights, 18 wins, 9 KO) will compete in the K-1 cruiserweight division.
Achterberg captured the tournament title in spectacular fashion, scoring three knockout victories in a single night over Mahmoud Sattari, Bogdan Stoica, and Nikita Kozlov. Originally scheduled to compete in a reserve bout, Achterberg advanced into the main bracket and went on to deliver a dominant, all-KO championship run.

Yuto Fukuchi, multiple-time JFKO and Byakuren All Japan Champion, faces Brazilian striker Vitor Toffanelli, former HOOST CUP Welterweight Champion and WBKF World Super Welterweight Champion.
This bout will be contested under full-contact karate special rules, with final rule adjustments currently under discussion.

Former 5th Krush Featherweight Champion Takahito Niimi (33 fights, 19 wins) faces rising K-1 star Rui Okubo (16 fights, 13 wins).
Okubo gained national attention at THE MATCH 2022, earning a decision victory over Ryujin Nasukawa in his professional debut. In his most recent bout against Akihiro Kaneko, the fight was ruled a no contest due to Okubo missing weight, even though he delivered a dominant performance.
Now moving up to featherweight for the first time, Okubo begins his pursuit of the vacant K-1 Featherweight title, formerly held by Takumi Terada, in a pivotal clash against the experienced veteran Niimi.
