[K-1 GENKI 2026] Mona Kimura and Alassane Kamara Added to “K-1 GENKI 2026” as Nine New Fights Are Confirmed for April 11 in Tokyo

February 25, 2026

Nine additional bouts (seven main card fights and two preliminary fights) have been confirmed for “K-1 GENKI 2026”, scheduled for Saturday, April 11 at the National Yoyogi Stadium Second Gymnasium in Tokyo.
Among the newly announced matchups, international standout Alassane Kamara is set to make his full-scale K-1 presence, while undefeated rising prospect Mona Kimura continues her rapid ascent in the women’s flyweight division.
With these headline additions, the event further solidifies its status as a dynamic showcase of elite veterans, emerging contenders, and global talent.
Details of the newly announced bouts are as follows:

[K-1 Super Lightweight – 3 three-minute rounds with one Extra Round]

Daizo Sasaki (Japan / DyR studio)
vs
Alassane Kamara (Senegal / Emergence Le Havre)

Sasaki, a former Krush Super Lightweight Champion, remains one of the division’s most experienced competitors. In 2024, he secured three consecutive victories before suffering a hard-fought loss in early 2025. He rebounded with a win in May and now aims to demonstrate his veteran composure and punching power against a dangerous international opponent.

Kamara, a native of Dakar, Senegal, stepped in as a late replacement in the K-1 WORLD MAX 2025 -70kg Tournament quarterfinal against Darryl Verdonk. Though originally scheduled to be replaced by his twin brother Alfousseynou, Kamara impressed fans with his speed and aggression. This bout marks his official full-scale K-1 debut, where the Savate champion will look to make a definitive statement.

Fight Preview:
Kamara’s explosive speed and forward pressure will collide with Sasaki’s heavy right hand. An early surge from Kamara versus a calculated late-round rally from Sasaki could define the outcome.

[K-1 Women’s Flyweight – 3 three-minute rounds with one Extra Round]

Mona Kimura (Japan / K-1 Gym Meguro TEAM TIGER)
vs
TBA

Kimura, undefeated at 3-0 (2 KOs), has quickly established herself as a rising force in the division. With a background in karate and boxing, she combines sharp front kicks—nicknamed the “Mona Mae Geri”—with destructive punching power. This bout represents another step toward title contention.

Haruto Matsumoto (Japan / TAD)
vs
Eiki Kurata (Japan / K-1 GYM SAGAMI-ONO KREST)
