[K-1 BEYOND] Announcement Regarding 3 Weigh-in Incidents – May 31

5月 31, 2025

Regarding “K-1 BEYOND,” which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, May 31 at Yokohama BUNTAI, we would like to inform you of three incidents that occurred during today’s official weigh-in (scheduled from 11:00 to 13:00).
Following discussions and adjustments with the involved parties, the following decisions have been made:

Bout 14 / [Presented by Real Trust Co Ltd]

K-1 WORLD GP Super Lightweight Title Match
Yodkhunpon WSR (Champion) vs. Shu Inagaki (Challenger)

At today’s official weigh-in, Shu Inagaki successfully weighed in at 64.95kg.
However, Yodkhunpon exceeded the contracted weight limit of 65.0kg by 100g and failed to make weight.
After discussion with both parties, the K-1 Executive Committee has decided the bout will proceed under the following conditions, with both sides in agreement:

  1. Yodkhunpon will be stripped of the title as of today.
  2. Yodkhunpon will begin Round 1 with a 1-point deduction.
  3. In accordance with K-1 regulations, Yodkhunpon was to wear 10 oz gloves and Inagaki 8 oz gloves, but Inagaki waived this advantage; both fighters will wear 8 oz gloves.
  4. 20% of Yodkhunpon’s fight purse will be forfeited and paid directly to Inagaki.
  5. If Inagaki wins, he will be recognized as the new champion. If Yodkhunpon wins, the victory will be recorded officially, but the title will remain vacant.

Bout 11 / -56kg Contract Bout

Rui Okubo vs. Lyra Nagasaka

Rui Okubo successfully weighed in at 55.80kg.
Lyra Nagasaka, however, conducted his weight cut at a separate location and was unable to arrive at the weigh-in venue within the official time.
As a result, Nagasaka has been declared disqualified. Okubo is awarded a win by forfeit, and Nagasaka receives a loss by forfeit.

Additionally, Okubo will now participate in an exhibition match, and a new opponent is currently being arranged.

Bout 1 /

K-1 WORLD GP Super Featherweight Title Tournament Reserve Fight
Leona Pettas vs. Sota Amano

At today’s weigh-in, Leona Pettas successfully weighed in at 59.90kg.
Sota Amano, however, exceeded the contracted 60.0kg limit by 2.25kg.
Normally, exceeding the weight limit by more than 2kg results in automatic disqualification. However, due to Leona’s strong desire to compete, and after special discussions with both parties, the K-1 Executive Committee has decided the bout will proceed under the following conditions:

  1. A weigh in will take place tomorrow, May 31 at 11:00 AM. If Amano makes weight under a newly set 65.0kg limit, the bout will proceed as a special reserve fight, with only Leona eligible to become the reserve fighter. (Initially, Leona proposed a 63.0kg limit, but after negotiations, the final limit was set at 65.0kg.)
  2. Amano will start Round 1 with a 2-point deduction.
  3. According to regulations, Leona was to wear 8 oz gloves and Amano 10 oz, but Leona declined the glove handicap; both will wear 8 oz gloves.
  4. 30% of Amano’s fight purse will be forfeited and paid directly to Leona.
  5. If Leona wins, he will be officially recorded as the winner and designated as the tournament reserve fighter.
If Amano wins, the result will be ruled a No Contest, and Amano will not be given reserve status.
However, even if Leona loses, as long as he is not knocked out and is cleared by the doctor post-fight to continue, he will still be treated as the reserve fighter.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding these decisions.
