K-1 Producer Genki Sudo commented, “I think many of you have already seen the event trailer that is currently being shown. I’ve also seen all the speculation from fans reacting to my declaration that ‘we are reaching out to some big names!’ Today, we will announce those fighters.” He then revealed the three major names who will compete at the event.

The first fighter announced was Darryl Verdonk. At the opening round of the “K-1 WORLD MAX -70kg World Championship Tournament” held on September 12 this year, Verdonk suffered a shocking first-round exit after being knocked down by Italy’s Lorenzo Di Vara. Sudo said, “In response to Verdonk’s strong desire for revenge, he will make his comeback at Korakuen, fighting for a spot in the reserve bout for December’s Final Tournament.”

The second fighter announced was Alassane Kamara, the “Savate King” of the formidable Kamara twins. Kamara challenged Taio Asahisa for the K-1 WORLD GP Super Lightweight title in September this year and engaged in a fierce battle, but ultimately lost by decision. Kamara’s comeback looks set to begin here.

The final fighter is 5th K-1 WORLD GP Super Welterweight Champion Ouyang Feng, who returns to the K-1 ring for the first time in a year. At last November’s “K-1 WORLD MAX -70kg World Championship Tournament,” Ouyang lost to the reigning K-1 Champion Jonas Salsicha in the quarterfinals. He then withdrew from this year’s tournament because he did not have a suitable training environment. Now ready to compete again, Ouyang will make a fresh start.

Regarding their respective opponents, Sudo said, “We will announce them as soon as they are finalized.” He continued, “These three fighters who represent K-1 will each return to the K-1 ring with a strong desire for revenge. I hope they deliver intense, memorable fights.”

November 23 at “K-1 REVENGE II” will offer fans the opportunity to see Verdonk, Kamara, and Ouyang Feng compete at Korakuen Hall. Their opponents remain to be seen, but there is no doubt that the event will feature a star-studded lineup.
